Abandoned in the Arctic

If anyone is going to be in the Boston/Cambridge area this week, my Boston University colleague Gino Del Guercio is screening his new film at the Harvard Natural History Museum. Details below:

Harvard Museum of Natural History
Thursday, June 19, 7:00 pm
Science Center Hall B
One Oxford Street, Cambridge
This new, 90-minute documentary tells the harrowing story of the Greely expedition which set out in 1881 to build an arctic research station. What began as an ambitious expedition descended into a three-year journey of starvation, mutiny, and alleged cannibalism. The screening will be followed by a short discussion with director Gino Del Guercio, executive producer Geoffrey Clark, and James Shedd, great-great-grandson of Adolphus Greeley. Click here for more information.
No advance reservations or tickets required.
