Carl Zimmer talks with Paul Ehrlich

This week on, my friend and colleague Carl Zimmer, one of America's top science writers and author of the new book "Microcosm: E. coli and the New Science of Life", talks with Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich on a range of subjects. Check it out, even if Ehrlich's apocalyptic predictions in "The Population Bomb" 40 years ago have not entirely come true (for more on that subject, read my story in Science a couple of years ago, "The Baby Deficit".)

I'm back on, talking this week with Paul Ehrlich about everything from climate change to Polynesian canoe oars to the origins of human culture to why cars are best for teenagers to make out in. Check it out.

Addendum: The New York Times gives Carl's book an interesting and positive review today.
