I'm sorry that Tony Snow has died, and I am sure he was just as much a "nice guy" as the Washington press corps is now falling all over itself to tell us. But let's get real: As White House press secretary, Snow's job was to shovel out the Bush administration's lies and bullshit. That he did a better job of it than Scott McClellan, and that he did it with a smile, just makes it all the worse. Too many people have died as a result of Bush administration policies to wait even a day or two to tell the truth about Snow's role.

Joseph Goebbels

Goebbels remained with Hitler in Berlin to the very end, and following the Führer's suicide he was the second person to serve as the Third Reich's Chancellor — albeit for one day. In his final hours Goebbels allowed his wife, Magda, to kill their six young children. Shortly after, Goebbels and his wife both committed suicide.

I don't think Tony Snow will deserve any better obituary.
I on the other hand, mourn his passing not because of anything else he did, but because when I was getting treatment for lung cancer he took the time to correspond with me and urge me on with grace and yes, love for a fellow man.
I support the President in our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan (Unlike my friend here Michael) so when and if I die from that damned disease will you gleefully comment about my passing by comparing me to Goebbels?
Cause that's funny, I don't support anyone's passing regardless of who they are or what they've done.
